QUICK LIT BITE OF THE DAY

E. T. A. Hoffmann-was a German romantic author of fantasy and horror. Hoffmann's most familiar story is Nussknacker und Mausek├Ânig ("The Nutcracker and The Mouse King", 1816), which inspired Pyotr llyich Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker(1892). His stories were very influential during the 19th century, and he is one of the major authors of the Romantic movement.
